dancing by myself

January 19, 2011

January being a time to take stock, I have been looking back over past Dancing Beastie posts and trying to get them into some sort of helpful order. So if you are a new or returning visitor to this blog, may I diffidently suggest that you might care to have a wee peek at the ‘About’ page? I have updated it and linked to some posts, old and new, which I think are a pretty good representation of what Dancing Beastie has been all about. Now all I have to do is find some inspiration for this year!

We watched a documentary, just yesterday, ‘Great British Journeys – HV Morton’s Search for Scotland’ following some of his travels in Scotland and it included the road to Skye. We enjoyed it immensely and it gave us an insight into the vast, barren landscape. I thought of you and your trip to Skye. We couldn’t get over the amount of deer everywhere!

I’m sure you’ll get inspiration for some lovely stories this year…looking forward to them.

I don’t know that programme, but there certainly are a lot of deer about at the moment. The red deer tend to come further down the hills in cold weather, so it’s easy to spot herds of them even from the road. And the roe deer, who share the woods with us, are a daily delight to watch.
