the Tuesday tree: do the twist

Beeches are generally rather dignified trees. These two, however, seem to have been caught in the act of dancing.

I like to think of them engaged in their infinitely slow duet over the decades, twisting with imperceptible grace to music too deep for human ears.

    What a magical thought for these strangely shaped trees. Like the Elizabethan idea of the music of the spheres which dictates the movement of planets.
