what can I say…

…there are fairies at the bottom of my garden!

Is it intellectually bankrupt to believe in fairies? Yes, I suppose so (sigh). Fun, though.

Who cares if it’s intellectually bankrupt? Not everything has to be intellectual – fluffy bunnies for example.

True. Although I don’t think that fluffy bunnies have any pretensions to intellectualism – unlike me!

i have learnt in the last 3 years that we should beleive in fairies as they really do exist. got to confess i haven’t seen one yet but i sure as hell trust the person who taught me to believe. plan to see one one day – all about opening the mind. so forget intellecualism and try spiritualism 😉

Interesting, Fi! My college chaplain used to say (tactfully) that I should stop making a false dichotomy between spirit and intellect. 15 years on, I am still struggling to reconcile the two.
